Vineyard Vines Womens Harbor Shirt

fishing shirt: Vineyard Vines // chino shorts: J. Crew // sandals: Jack Rogers // watch: Kate Spade // hat: Southern Proper (use code "xcgal98" for 15% off.)

Vineyard Vines just released a harbor shirt for women and I just had to share it with y'all! If you're unfamiliar with VV's harbor shirt, it's a fishing shirt very similar to the PFG by Columbia. When I saw this at retail the other day, I had a momentary lapse, I got so excited! It'll be great with norts in the Summer for when I'm fishing on the lake, but it's also adorable with jacks and chinos on a casual day. I used to have to get a mens XS in the harbor shirt, so I'm so excited to see VV finally made a women's version.

It's finally warm enough for shorts here in Georgia, so I'll be living in my J. Crew chinos. I get the 3" inseam, make sure you purchase chinos from retail vs the factory store because the outlet shorts are a thin, wrinkly material. Whereas, the chinos from retail are made out of a thick fabric and do not wrinkle easily. I swear by these shorts, I would recommend investing in several colors. I've tried Vineyard Vines & Lilly Pulitzer's chinos, but I always go back to the J. Crew shorts.

Everyone needs a simple watch, pair of Jack Rogers, and a white baseball cap. They're wardrobe staples and they won't go out of style. If you purchase the women's harbor shirt from VV, be sure to tweet me a photo. I'd love to see how you style it. What are you most looking forward to this spring?

Saturday Shopping & Sales 3/14

1 // 2 // 3

Vineyard Vines just released their 2015 Kentucky Derby Collection, and I'm so excited! I look forward to the release of VV's derby line every year. Although VV did a better job with the 2014 derby collection, they did manage to make a few stunner pieces this year. I am so glad that VV's design team decided to run with the party theme this year. The seersucker party hat and dress are my  favorite.

Lilly Pulitzer also updated the site with new arrivals in the online interactive catalog. I wasn't too impressed with the 2015 resort line, but Lilly made a comeback with the Spring 2015 line. I love the extensive use of pink & green, really bringing back the original colors. A lot of flamingos were also incorporated into new prints, which is fabulous!

J. Crew and the factory store also added new arrivals online. Factory released their version of the city mini skirt (see how I style it here) in a few new & old colors: khaki, navy, red, & purple. I own the khaki & navy, great basics to start off with; looking into getting the red for this season. Sadly, I don't think J. Crew is going to remake the city mini this season. Loving this checked popover, great for summer!

Tuckernuck recently released the Skipper dress by Just Madras in Pink & Navy. This piece is an easy & effortless dress for Summer; great with jacks, a leather banded watch, and a headband in a contrasting color.

Country Club Prep had some awesome new arrivals & restocks this past week! CCP now carries the Clare Rope Wedge Sandal by Jack Rogers in Platinum, such a universal color. The Clare Wedge will match everything. Daniel Wellington watches were restocked (1 <<I have this one>> // 2). Southern Shirt Co.'s Bow Tie tee was also added, so cute!

Sorry for the lack of posts! Sadly, I've been getting really sick again and missing school, thus I'm drowning in school work at the moment. We were also out of school for 4 days thanks to all the snow, so teachers are attempting to cram and catch up before exams. Two more weeks until spring break, thank God!

Saturday Shopping & Sales

Sadly, I have not had the time to make a "Saturday Shopping & Sales" post for quite some time, so here you go! Since the last edition of this series, I've stumbles across a ton of adorable new arrivals for Spring, & even some awesome deals.

I've been very disappointed with what J. Crew has been releasing lately, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover these classic button downs under their new arrivals tab. I own these tops in a light pink gingham and multi-color plaid, and I adore them! They're light and comfortable for summer; such an easy outfit with jacks and chino shorts.

I am SO excited about this new release! I've always loved the mens harbor shirt, so it's about time they made a women's version. From what I've heard, more colors & prints will be released in women's fishing shirts when Summer rolls around.

Lauren James released seersucker skirts and dresses on Country Club Prep (email me at for a 20% off code + free shipping), and they are absolutely adorable! The scalloped seersucker skirt is my favorite. It's very similar to the J. Crew city mini skirt (styled here) with the cinched waist, and the scallops give it originality. Any of the new dresses would make for a perfect Easter dress.

Lilly Pulitzer Reagan Dress in First Impressions
I'm loving how Shelby styled this dress from Lilly's new spring line! Lilly brought back the 2011 print "First Impressions" for the Spring '15 line. Here's my post on Lilly's spring line in case you missed it (very impressed with the new collection btw).

Country Club Prep recently started carrying a few pieces from St. James's women's line. This striped shift dress is a timeless piece; an essential to any wardrobe.

Southern Proper Spring 2015 Tees // Use code "xcgal98" for 15% off any purchase on SoPro.
I'm very impressed with SoPro's new spring tees. It's definitely my favorite collection to date. However, the tees have been selling out in XS & S, so act quick if you want one.

I have been told the chambray hat is sold out on SoPro's site but you can purchase it here

Southern Proper Windbreakers (L to R: Rich Red, Washed Navy, Sherbet)
SoPro really outdid themselves with their new Spring line! I am thoroughly impressed and obsessed with these windbreakers (I may just have to get two). They even come with a small zip pouch for easy storage.

How cute is this Kate Spade wallet?! Scallops seem to be a recurring trend for Spring '15.

Kate Spade's watches are to-die-for along with their timeless, classic appeal; they never go out of style.

KAVU Rope Sling Bag in Atlantis
I've been coveting a KAVU rope sling bag since last Summer, loving this new spring shade!

Chacos on Sale // 1 & 2 ($74.99) // 3 ($69.96) // 4 & 5 ($45.83)
Note: On styles 4 & 5, REI has more sizes in stock than what you see online (they can ship from other stores); you just have to call & ask. This is the case for most online stores. Chaco has put their designs from last Spring/Summer on sale to make way for the new designs releasing in a few weeks. I just got a pair for Summer; they're great if you hike & canoe a lot or frequent the outdoors.

Kate Spade Chandelier Earrings (on sale for $39.97)

Kate Spade Joni Crossbody Bag (on sale for $124.60)
This is such a cute cross body, & for a great price! (also available in navy)

1" Monogram Necklace (on sale for $30) // photo via Robin
Such a steal!

Lilly Pulitzer Spring 2015

Lilly brought back their infamous "First Impressions" print from 2011, and I am in love! They really made up for the Fall '14 and Resort '15 lines. The design team did such a great job revamping the print in new colors: Poolside Blue and Sunglow Yellow.

The Spring '15 print "Back It Up" is one of my new favorites. If you look closely, you'll see that the blue print is actually ostriches. Ostriches are a rather abstract animal, so I'm happy to see that Lilly placed them on a dress.

I'm a sucker for white dresses (I think I own 5 or more..), so Lilly really caught my attention with the pieces shown above. In all honesty, if I could, I'd buy them all. They're such a classic for Summer, not to mention, prefect for beach photos.

"Double Trouble" is a lovely new paisley print; a great addition to the Lilly collection in my opinion. Once again, I've been a big fan of Paisley for a very long time, so Lilly got me yet again.

Lilly made this exact dress in pink & navy for their fall line from a few years back. I've regretted not purchasing it ever since, so I am loving this bright piece!

Over all, I am really impressed with Lilly's Spring '15 line. For a while, they strayed away from their classic prints, but this line reminds me of the old Lilly, which I miss. I'm not a huge fan of yellow, but I do love the excess use of pink and blue. Based on the spring line, I can't wait to see what Lilly has planned for Summer. View the full Spring '15 line here.

What are your favorites from Lilly's Spring '15 line? Are you impressed or disappointed?
